To arrange an evening program aright on top of the mountain you will find numerous locations and possibilities, from giant and rustic cottages (e.g. in combination with a short hike or torchlight walk) to traditional inns and high-class gourmet restaurants.
On the level of 1.760m and a short walk from the mountain lift station of the Asitz Gondola at Leogang, in the middle of the skiing resort Leogang-SaalbachHinterglemm, the AsitzBräu states a high alpine beer location, which actually is the highest brewery in Europe.
With its three floors, the brewery hall and two sun terraces the AsitzBräu is the perfect location for an Aprés-Ski stop or functions as an unique location for evening receptions and dinners with up to 500 persons right on top of the mountain - in summer, such as in winter.
Die Alte Schmiede – The old smithy
Close to the mountain station of the Asitz gondola at 1.760m and thus right opposite of the AsitzBräu you will find the themed restaurant Alte Schmiede – the old smithy. The Alte Schmiede offers space for up to 500 persons and is furnished with historical exhibits and numerous fine pieces of local craftsmanship, which gives this location a special and cozy charm. The kitchen chef is surprising his guests with culinary dishes of local ingredients paired with international dishes, such as baked potatoes, spareribs, wood-fired freshly baked pizza or a hearty alpine menu. The charming ambience of the Alte Schmiede turns each stop into a celebration.
In the valley, just a few steps from the Hotel Krallerhof at Leogang, you find the rustic Kralleralm, which offers seats from 250 to a maximum of 300 persons within four different parlors. The parlors, an extended terrace, the lavishly furnished round bar and the gallery above the dance floor are the ideal setting for a noble alpine evening in the hut. The Kralleralm is equipped with historical materials and interiors, passion for detail and artifacts of skiing and local handcrafts truly create a blissful flair and unique charm.
