Green Meetings and Sustainable Events in Salzburg

Enterprises are encouraged to embrace Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)

The Salzburg Convention Bureau and the Austrian meeting industry as a whole support initiatives and projects on the topics of green meetings, sustainability and corporate social responsibility. Event planners that focus on climate change and social accountability will feel right at home in Salzburg.

Events such as conferences, conventions and trade shows are an important communication platform. However, significant resources are used when people get together to discuss important industry topics. The Salzburg Convention Bureau and its partners are committed to ensuring that the impact on nature and the environment is kept as low as possible.

Companies that want to use incentive events to get involved in a social project also show responsibility. For many companies, the issue of corporate social responsibility has become part of their mission statement. And a mission statement should be lived at every opportunity - even at events. The opportunities to get involved in social projects are varied and can be tailored to your individual event requirements.

Each team decorates their own soapbox car and challenges the other teams to a race. After the event the cars are donated to a charitable organisation (such as an SOS Children's Village).
