Music and Tracht

There's music here in all its facets. Almost every village has its own bands and ensembles who make their musical contribution with an entire range of moods, for happy and for sad events. Families and other groupings also look after existing musical traditions.
These traditions can be seen at first hand in their various forms at mountain lodge singing, dancing and music evenings as performed by yodelleres, "Schuhplattlers" dancers, stanza singers, "Polka" and "Landler" music and dance exponents.
Of courses, Tracht clothing is worn on such occasions. Women wear the traditional "Drindl" dress, and Lederhose, Leinenpfoad linen shirt and hand knitted socks for the men. Clothing like this is not only worn for such occasions. The many types of Tracht clothing can be seen in everyday life all year round, at everything from the church fair to the various evening events.
